Public Quest, or PQ for short, is a featured system initialed by Warhammer Online developers. Up to now, most players speak highly of it. It might cause imitatations from other MMOPRG, since PQ system is totally a new idea. We are approaching to this great system in this article. So Look away from War gold for a while, you will have much fun for participate in a PQ I bet.
It does not require players to speak to any specific NPC for a certain quest; you just walk in on one Public Quest for participation. Move into Public Quest area, you will see a message informing that a PQ is taking place and what you would need to do to be a part of this quest flashes onto your screen. PQ is nothing simple and easy. It has huge goals to achieve, which couldn’t be done by single but might be completed by large number of players involve in.
The common feature of War Quests is they are broken up into chapters, so dose PQ. However, there are no one shot Public Quests. You start off in one area and when you're finished with the quest there, you move on into the next area. Each chapter of the quest moving a storyline forward until it usually culminates in a battle with a final boss type monster.
Players can get involved in a Public quest at anytime they walk into. So even if the quest has been going on for 20min, you can just show up and start doing whatever it is that you're needed to do. No having to wait for the quest cycle to start over. No planning your schedule around the starting time of the quest. You just walk in and “BAM”, you're involved in the quest from that point on.
Another feature of the PQ is their unique reward system. Let's say you walk in on a Public Quest. It sounds like a lot of fun so you join in. Fifteen minutes into the quest, but there’s an emergency happened in a sudden. Normally you'd have to abandon the quest and pick it up another time in order to finish but with Public Quests you're rewarded for any amount of participation in the form of influence, even if you can't stick around to finish it up. There are three different types of rewards: experience, influence, and Contribution. We should say it is fair enough and quite humanistic.
Warhammer gamers like Public Quest, as it brings together the Forces of Order or the Forces of Destruction, for a better tomorrow through unrelenting havoc. As we talked above, to gain more rewards one have to contribute more. You'd better armed yourself with the best gears that you can afford.
