Warhammer Online is a big game, you can have a lot fun. But If you want to be a good player, you should open for further learning. This time, we collect a guide for Shammn players.

1. Make a cute goblin and click on the Shaman class (the one with a pointy stick and not with a bow) on the character select screen.
2. Log into your Shaman and play through at least one level by yourself to get the hang of healing yourself and killing things first. This is extremely helpful if you have never played a healer and are unsure how to go about doing it.
3. Head into a scenario and start healing the group. Do not listen to the chatter that “you suck at healing” and “go roll something else ‘cause you suck” that commonly accompanies healers level 1-10 in a scenario. These are common when people feel that they are not getting heals at all but they themselves do not understand that you are healing but your large heal does about 80 health points and they are losing at least that with every hit.
4. Find a DPS and Tank to level with. This is the fastest way to level a Shaman. The best combination is a Black Orc, Shaman, and either a Sorcerer or Marauder. With this combination it might seem like you are being power leveled with the amount of monsters (mobs) that can be killed in a short amount of time.
5. It is not necessary for a Shaman to be full healing specialization until you are running a dungeon and that is the only time you really need to have it. This becomes extremely important when you obtain level 40 and are running instances such as Bastion Stair North, Bloodwrought Enlcave, Bilerot, and even Lost Vale.
6.Once you are level 40, which can take anywhere from 7 days to 2 months depending on your playing style, you will need to have wards from either Bastion Stair set gear or the Annihilator PVP gear in order to run the second set of instances.
7. Use heals over time (hot) and group heals before individual mass heals since these benefit the entire group. If you are healing a main tank primarily then use the big heals along with HOTS.
8. You are a healer. Do not DPS unless everyone is full health unless you are dispelling Mork/Gork so you do not waste it. Only do this once you are confident with healing the group. Many see the Shaman as a healer only but they can do some damage after their primary purpose.
9. Heal your butt off during scenarios and instances. This is key to being a healer because there is a shortage of good healers across all servers.
10 During instances, make sure you have your healing tree moral 4 on your moral bar because this is the ONLY resurrection that can be used during boss fights and has proven helpful on many raids.

Have a DPS gear set primarily filled with Intelligence stats and a Healing set that is loaded up with Willpower. This comes in handy as to what function you are serving.
